Who we are

HippoDoodle Ltd runs hippodoodle.io. We are registered in Scotland, company number SC880656, and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, number ZC116311.

What we collect

If you leave your email on our interest list, we keep that email address, the date you left it, and whether you left it on the front page or with Roberta. We don't ask for anything else on this site.

If you talk to Roberta on the front page, what you type stays in your browser. It is not sent to us, stored or logged. If you use the microphone, your browser turns your speech into text, and some browsers do that through their own provider.

Why

Only to tell you when we open for members. We don't sell it or share it, and we don't use it for anything else. We keep it for no longer than 12 months, and we delete it once we've told you we're open. We'll also delete it whenever you ask.

Where it is kept

In a database run for us by Supabase, hosted in the European Union (Stockholm, Sweden).

How long

No longer than 12 months. We delete it sooner once we've told you we're open, or whenever you ask.

Seeing it, changing it, deleting it

Email amanda@hippodoodle.io and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.

If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Other services this page uses

The films on the front page come from Pexels, and the lettering from Google Fonts. Your browser fetches those from them directly, so they see the usual details any website sees, such as your IP address. We set no cookies of our own.

We also count visits ourselves: the date and time, the page, the country, whether it's a phone, tablet or computer, and the name of the site that sent you, if any. On the front page we also count when the Wee Taster is opened and when its Start button is pressed: just that it happened, on which page. No cookies, no IP addresses, no names.
